Gunther's Branding Project
This project was to redesign a logo for a brand of our choice. I wanted to make a personal connection by redesigning the logo of my uncle's old restaurant called Gunther's named after his chihuahua.I collaborated with my aunt and uncle to redesign their vision. While the restaurant itself may not be in business anymore, Gunther himself will live on through all of our memories.
I started with the logo, sketching out some ideas and reviewing with my peers for the strongest designs.
Once I settled for the first logo, I then began to expand the project. I wanted to be able to visualize the space. My aunt and uncle are big fans of creative cocktails, so while I was designing the drink menu I added some dog-themed drinks starting of course with the salty chihuahua.
Illustration Work
I tend to do a lot of freelance illustration commissions. Here is a compile of all my illustrations some of which I have mocked up onto merchandise.
This was some fan-art I made of Emma Woods from the mobile game "Identity V".
This was a project I was assigned in school to create a sports logo for our school but specifically for an uncommon sport. I chose Disc Dog competitions and took inspiration from many highschool and college mascots.
Process
This piece is of one of my original characters along with an original character made by a friend of mine based on the game "Identity V". Typically for my pieces I begin with a sketch, the lineart, the flat colors/shading, and then move on to the more detailed shading/final touches.
This piece is of one of my original characters based on the game "Fire Emblem Three Houses". With this piece, I followed my same steps this time focusing more on the character design than creating a fully rendered piece with a background.
This is just a collection of some of my strongest pieces.
Trading Cards
These two illustrations are my two favorites. They are both fan art of the character Elysia from the game "Honkai Impact 3rd". She has two different forms, which is why there are two separate cards. Since I loved these pieces so much, I wanted to implement them into something that would make more sense than just simple prints, so with the help of my professor I turned them into collector cards!
Crochet Cow Package Design
Crochet cows made and owned by Mellowstitches on Etsy
This project was to design a package design. I chose to design a package based on a product from MellowStitches Co.'s etsy shop. I designed an official logo, package design along with a digital ad and some tote bags to hold the new furry friends in.
When I first began, I made many sketches of possible boxes and packages that these cows could sit in. After some consideration, I had fallen in love with the idea of the cows being inside milk cartons. Well, I found out that the design I had made just would not fit on any mockup.
I decided that someday I would come back to this design, make my own physical mock up one day because I still believe that this is a very cute idea. In the mean time, I did not give up! I decided to still use the elements I have created, but revisit one of the old ideas I had.
I also made some tote bags that you could carry your new fluffy friend home in.
